I shall begin with the story of Sea Star Arts and how the name came to be… A Sea Star, you see, is a precious creature that can bring a smile to just about anyone’s face!

Also lovingly known as a starfish or basket stars, these precious sea creatures are my inspiration for my creative photography. Gliding across the ocean floor, sea stars have over 1800 known species and this diverse group of sparkling stars can reproduce a lost arm and heal on their own! Through Sea Star Arts I enjoy inspiring and creating a healing atmosphere through my camera lens.

Fitting a dress, making it your own and no one else’s is a magical experience. So many brides have so many ideas of their perfect dress. I brought my camera to the fitting to capture the light and soul of a fitting…it was magical!

Another look into a great find on etsy for my bloggy friends! Radiance from Ruins is a spiffy little shop with a seamstress angel named Katie! I found this bright happy Ginkgo fabric she posted for a runner and asked for matching pillows… here is my package!

I have already stuffed my pillows into the three custom pillowcases she lovingly stitched just for ME!

Welcome to Take a Look Tuesday! You just never know where my little camera will sneak a few snaps of what is going on around us… or what I may find in my blog surfing. (yes, too much blog surfing with all the eye candy out there…) This Tuesday brings us to a road side stand down the street from my house on Johns Island.

Nothing like the exciting colors of local produce! all of the different shades of yellow, green, purple and red… the farmers that work our Lowcountry Soil really give a feast for our eyes before we create a feast for our tummies. South of downtown Charleston on Johns Island there are so many farmers and offerings on each corner. This particular road side stand was my destination for some good ole southern Corn on the Cob!

While the corn was my target I couldn’t help fondling all the other sweet tomatoes, peppers and peaches! Have a look and let me know what your favorite is!

This particular Sea Star was found by a Bride’s cousin on Pawley’s Island. Left to dry on the railing out to the beach… it was a perfect addition to the wedding shoes as the sunshine danced on the ocean behind this special Moment. xo -jeni

So I have to admit that I am an Etsy addict. Yes, I have said it out loud! ok…so I typed it.
If you haven’t already found and fell head over heels in love with this amazing crafty haven, then you must go see!

When I need creative inspiration, something new and artsy, or just a gift to send to someone special I look to Etsy and I am never ever disappointed!

Recently a blog post flew past my eyes with Pink Stitches very own Etsy shop. I figured instead of keeping my secret obsession and little happy joy to myself I would blog about it!

I sent off for this special hand made “Scrappy Pouch” to take comfort for my sunglasses. When you wear prescription glasses you make sure they are safe and sound and not hanging out with anything that could scratch their expensive lenses!

I am also a lover of the add on. When I make a purchase you might as well add something on to make it worth their while shipping to you! So I also snuck in a few hair bows for my sweet niece Roxie.

Bonnie wrapped my joy all up in a sweet green ribbon and wrote that sweet note that even included her BLOG address for me to keep up…

So head on over to Pink Stitches and look around… and then if you dare (really really if you DARE!) click on the home page of Etsy and be prepared to spend some time looking around… it’s HEAVEN!
